Bawtry Business Club - A great Night!

Over 120 people attended the Bawtry Business Club networking event at The Crown Hotel in Bawtry on Wednesday 26th January.

Informal networking took place after work - 5pm to 6pm followed by a fantastic insight into the world of racing hosted by Sky present from At The Races Simon Mapletoft.

On the panel were female jockey Kelly Harrison, local stable owner and trainer David Griffiths and Jo Mapletoft Commercial Manager. Even hotel owner Craig Dowie made an appearance on the panel to give a hotel point of view about racing and what the industry means to Doncaster!

Bawtry Business club will host its next event on Wednesday 26th January at The Crown hotel in Bawtry! Organised by Smith Craven Accountants and supported by The Byrne Practice, the evening will have a racing theme.

The evening will be hosted by At The Races presenter Simon Mapletoft and will include highlights and an insight into the world of female jockey Kelly Harrison and David Griffiths who owns a local stable in Bawtry.

Networking starts from 5pm until 6pm followed by the speakers.

4 Star Crown Hotel Bawtry continues investment into 2011

Bawtry's 4 star independant Crown hotel continues to invest in its product with a full bar and reception area refurbishment in January 2011.

Due to be completed by the end of the month, the areas will follow and improve the hotels modern, rustic and contemporary style.

Katey Dent Sales Manager explained "We always strive to be the best hotel in the area, and this refurbishment will be amazing! Many people have commented that it was only 5 years ago since we transformed the hotel originally, but you have to move with the times to be the best of the best!"

She continued " When you step into the reception / bar area, you will see beautiful modern fabric wallpapers, rustic tile feature walls, new booths to ensure guests have a more sociable drink, blackboards with Champagne and fizz offers and staff will look more relaxed in smart jeans and Hollister shirts".

Call in and have a look at the end of January and you will see a big difference! Take note of the wall size black and white photo at the side of the bar - its the Crown photographed over a 100 years ago!
