Mcfly 'Shine a Light' in Bawtry!

The 4 Star Crown hotel in Bawtry played host to yet another band – Mcfly!

Band members Tom, Dougie, Danny and Harry stayed in the hotels stunning executive bedrooms with crew, manager and bouncers during a stint at a nearby rehearsal studio before going on tour last Friday.

Mcfly’s ‘Above the Noise Tour’ kicked off in Sheffield on Friday 18th March taking them all over the country performing hits from their new album including ‘Shine a Light’ and new single ‘That’s the Truth’.

Katey Dent Sales Manager of the Crown said “It was great to see the guys from Mcfly return to the hotel again; they came to us around 5 years ago – much younger then of course! They are such nice guys and really loved the hotel and Bawtry, as do many of the bands and groups we get staying at the hotel”.

Katey added “We had a wedding on at the hotel the same day they were checking out and the wedding guests could not believe that Mcfly were there! They were happy to have photos with the wedding party and also sign autographs”.

Mcfly follow a long list of groups staying at the Bawtry hotel, including Boyzone, Kasabian, Peter Andre, Dizzee Rascal and many more.

The Boys are back in Bawtry Town!

The rumors were true! Chart topping boy band Boyzone returned to stay at The Crown hotel in Bawtry for a third time!

Ronan Keating, Mikey Graham, Shane Lynch and Keith Duffy stayed at the hotel over the weekend for 4 nights while practicing at a private venue in the local area in preparation for their forthcoming tour.

Katey Dent Sales Manager commented “They guys love the hotel and love Bawtry! They worked very long hours during the day rehearsing, and then came back to the hotel to chill out later in the evening. They even popped out in Bawtry to the gym and also used the facilities of Harringtons for a few massages”.

Boyzone started their 12 date ‘The Brother Tour’ on Monday 21st February in Liverpool, visiting Cardiff, Wembly, Sheffield, Nottingham, Birmingham and finishing in Belfast. The tour is rumored to be bigger and better and will include tracks such as top ten single ‘Gave it all Away’ and ‘Love is a Hurricane’ plus old classics ‘Picture of You’, ‘Love me for a reason’ and ‘No matter what’.

Katey added “We love it when they come and stay, it’s great to see such a famous group hanging out in Bawtry, and to also see people’s faces when they see them in bar and in reception!”
