The rumors were true! Chart topping boy band Boyzone returned to stay at The Crown hotel in Bawtry for a third time!
Ronan Keating, Mikey Graham, Shane Lynch and Keith Duffy stayed at the hotel over the weekend for 4 nights while practicing at a private venue in the local area in preparation for their forthcoming tour.
Katey Dent Sales Manager commented “They guys love the hotel and love Bawtry! They worked very long hours during the day rehearsing, and then came back to the hotel to chill out later in the evening. They even popped out in Bawtry to the gym and also used the facilities of Harringtons for a few massages”.
Boyzone started their 12 date ‘The Brother Tour’ on Monday 21st February in Liverpool, visiting Cardiff, Wembly, Sheffield, Nottingham, Birmingham and finishing in Belfast. The tour is rumored to be bigger and better and will include tracks such as top ten single ‘Gave it all Away’ and ‘Love is a Hurricane’ plus old classics ‘Picture of You’, ‘Love me for a reason’ and ‘No matter what’.
Katey added “We love it when they come and stay, it’s great to see such a famous group hanging out in Bawtry, and to also see people’s faces when they see them in bar and in reception!”

Crown Hotel Bawtry hosts Breast Care Unit Events
A night of merriment was enjoyed at Bawtry’s premier hotel in January, raising funds for Bassetlaw Hospital’s Breastcare Unit.
Over 100 party-goers boogied the night away after enjoying a scrumptious four-course meal. £1020 was raised on the night, which now brings the total amount raised for the Breastcare Unit to over £340,000.
Work begins on the new Breastcare Unit in the next few weeks. Work will be in two phases:
Phase 1 includes forming the two new mammography rooms with new Siemens machines, ultrasound, waiting area, and ancillary rooms and is expected to be completed by June.
Phase 2 includes the new consultation and examination rooms - one more than the current facility, treatment and additional waiting and changing areas, ancillary rooms, and a new reception for the mammography unit.
Sally Richardson would like to thank the residents of Bassetlaw for their continued support as we enter the second phase of the project, which is to buy patient comforts.
Please join us at any of our forthcoming events, or, if you would like to donate money, raffle prizes, or auction lots, please contact Sally on 01909 502767, or e-mail sally.richardson@dbh.nhs.uk.

Crown Hotel Bawtry Jockey joins Racing Elite!
Pictured Above: Left Craig Dowie Crown Hotel Director, centre Kelly Harrison and right Simon Mapletoft
Jockey Kelly Harrison, sponsored by The Crown Hotel at Bawtry, has joined an elite 'club' by becoming only the sixth female rider in the history of the sport to become a fully fledged professional.
Yorkshire born Kelly is now competing on equal terms with the likes of Frankie Dettori, six-times champion jockey Kieren Fallon and celebrated female jockey Hayley Turner.
"It's always been my ambition to ride out my claim," says Kelly (26), whose landmark 95th winner came on board the Brian Baugh-trained John Potts at Wolverhampton.
"I've been supported by many different trainers and I'm very grateful to them all for putting their faith in me throughout my apprenticeship."
Kelly, who graduated from showjumping and eventing as a teenager, aims to establish herself among the sport's bigger names this summer by riding for as many trainers as possible.
She is also employed as a work rider for leading Newmarket trainer Henry Cecil, and has had the privilege of riding 2,000 Guineas favourite Frankel in his homework as a two-year-old.
Craig Dowie, Managing Director of The Crown, adds: "We would like to extend our congratulations to Kelly, and are delighted to be associated with her."
Kelly is pictured toasting her success with Craig and At The Races presenter Simon Mapletoft at a racing forum for the Bawtry Business Club at the hotel last week.
