Crown Hotel Bawtry Sales Manager Katey Dent is delighted to have been asked to join the honored few of being a ‘Fashion Fillie’ at the DFS Ladies Day at Doncaster Racecourse in September.

Katey will join the select few to literally ‘Scout for girls’ to go through to the Best Dressed Lady Competition to be held at the racecourse on 8th September – Ladies Day of the famous Leger week.

Katey commented “I am absolutely thrilled to have been asked to do this! I just love fashion and also the races and so the two combined is going to just brilliant!”

She continued “I will be on the look out for style and sophistication. A lady that is unique in her style and who stands out from the crowd from the first impression. The winner will be picked by judges from our chosen few and the winner of the title of Best Dressed Lady will receive not only the title, but prizes from The Crown hotel, Robinsons of Bawtry, Elements Medispa and Funky Fascinators – to name but a few! What a great prize!”

The winner of Doncaster that day will then go through to the final of Yorkshire’s Best Dressed Lady which takes place straight after the Doncaster competition.

Katey works at the local Crown Hotel in Bawtry who are not only the preferred partner hotel to the Racecourse, but will be sponsoring a race on Ladies Day.

To promote the event, Doncaster Racecourse has also taken on a new initiative giving sound to social media! Steve Adamson, resident social media marketing expert at Doncaster Racecourse says social media is a massive business tool and an opportunity yet to be embraced by many. He added:
“We’ve massively grown the racecourse’s social media presence since last year’s Ladbrokes St. Leger Festival. Twitter specifically has become one of the most efficient ways we can interact with our customers. From a standing start last year, we’re now the fifth most dominant UK racecourse on Twitter. For us, social media is less about marketing and more about talking and listening to our customers. Of course we embrace the more traditional outlets like Facebook, but trying out innovations like Audioboo help us reach new audiences who are ever hungry for different content”
